This is how Espers can easily buy more mutations and why they should pick the Esper feat.īe careful with how you allocate points, some abilities like Teleport will eventually max itself out (cooldown 5 turns) with just your ego bonus and does not need anymore than 1 base from buying it. Thing is if you are espering then buffing ego every level + that prism means you'll need to be level 20 before you can max out the "base" of any mental skill, but those skills will end up crazy powerful. pretty sure mutations can only upgrade every 2 levels. So level 1 with a +6 ego bonus gets a +6 to the level of the mental skill, but you won't see the maximum benefit of it until you are level 12ish. If your ego is high enough you may not be able to put points into those skills until you are higher leveled and your level catches/overtakes your ego bonus Retrieved 18 December 2019.10 is hard cap, but every +# next to your ego advances it beyond 10.
